Marin City Secondary Access Route

Marin City and Sausalito share a school district, but they are isolated by geography, both natural and man-made. Highway 101 divides Marin City from Sausalito, with Donahue Street the only path of access for all modes of travel - cars, buses, bicycles, and pedestrians. The new mural project and lighting will bring some much needed color and light to the existing sidewalk passage, but it will not improve the mere 8 feet of sidewalk on which bicycles and pedestrians must co-exist.

WTB-TAM supports TAM funding a Secondary Access Study, as requested by Marin City’s residents in the 2015 Marin City Community-Based Transportation Plan.
